Viatosto, Valmanera
La circoscrizione di Viatosto/Valmanera si estende nella zona nord ovest del territorio frazionale di Asti per circa 7 chilometri quadrati.
La località di Valmanera,zona residenziale della città,è sede dell’antica Certosa di Valmanera,fondata pare nella prima metà del Secolo XI dai monaci Vallombrosani e divenuta sede dei Certosini nel 1387 .
Semidistrutta da Napoleone nel 1801,oggi non rimane che la foresteria e l’ala di mezzo del grande chiostro centrale,che ,da sola,impressiona per l’imponenza e l’eleganza dei suoi archi e delle sue colonne. Solo alcune delle opere d’arte dei Certosini sono ancora in città: uno è l’affresco della Madonna del latte ( seconda metà XV sec.) conservato nell’altare mar-moreo (anch’esso della Certosa) della Cappella dell’Ascensione della Cattedrale di Asti. Il fabbricato è attualmente circondato da un bel parco ed ospita una delle migliori realtà produttive ed artistiche della città: l’Arazzeria Scassa,laboratorio artigianale vero centro propulsivo d’Arte Contemporanea ( tel.0141/271164),che ha creato arazzi su disegni di Cagli, Spazzapan, Basadella, Casorati, Dalì, Ernst, Kandisky, Klee, Matisse, Mirò… All’imboccatura dei Boschi di Valmanera (Sito di Interesse Comunitario di 2190 ettari di superficie) si trova Villa Paolina,di proprietà comunale,elegante edificio liberty,immerso in un parco di circa 10 ettari,sede di un Centro di Educazione Ambientale a carattere nazionale,restaurato e gestito dal WWF Italia.(per visite tel.0141/470269). Da Valmanera si sale verso Viatosto e si raggiunge la chiesa di Maria Ausiliatrice,gioiello medioevale le cui parti più antiche risalgono al XIII secolo,l’edificio è stato successivamente ampliato ( XV secolo) con l’inserimento di elementi gotici che si armonizzano perfettamente con le precedenti strutture romaniche.All’interno sono visi-bili pregevoli affreschi del Trecento e del Quattrocento,oggetto di recenti restauri.Dal suo sagrato,classica meta dei giovani fidanzati della zona, è possibile ammirare una splendida visuale della città. Nella Circoscrizione si trova il campeggio cittadino Umberto Cagni:Tel.0141/411242. Molto attiva in ambito sociale ed aggregativo è la Cooperativa LA VALMANERESE,sorta nel 1985 e che oggi conta 64 soci.La Cooperativa gestisce la sede del Circolo ( 339/1012361),vivace punto di ritrovo della piccola comunità,il campo da bocce ed organizza le nume-rose feste locali,tra cui la festa patronale della terza settimana di luglio e la Sagra di autunno ( mese di ottobre).
The district of Viatosto/Valmanera extends in the north west area of the Asti territory over roughly 7 square kilometres. The locality of Valmanera,a residential area of the city,is the ancient seat of the Carthusian monastery of Valmanera, apparently founded in the first half of the XI century by Vallombrosani monks and which became the headquarters of the Carthusians in 1387. Semi-destroyed by Napoleon in 1801, today all that remains are the guest quarters and the middle wing of the large central cloister which, in itself, is impressive for the stateliness and the elegance of its arches and columns.Only a few of the works of art belonging to the Carthusians are still in the city:one is the ‘Madonna del latte’ fresco (second half of the 15th century) conserved in the marble altar (which is also Carthusian) of the Cappella dell’Ascensione in Asti Cathedral. The building is now surrounded by a beautiful park and is home to one of the city’s best productive and artistic assets: the ‘Arazzeria Scassa’, a handicraft laboratory of Contemporary Art (tel.0141/271164), which has made wall hangings to designs by Cagli,Spazzapan,Basaldella,Casorati,Dalì,Ernst, Kandisky, Klee, Matisse and Mirò...At the entrance to the Boschi di Valmanera (place of communitary interest, with a surface area of 2190 hectares) can be found Villa Paolina,an elegant liberty style building set in a park of around 8 hectares, the home of a centre for environmental education at national level run by the WWF.From Valmanera we travel up towards Viatosto reaching the church of Maria Ausiliatrice,a medieval jewel the oldest parts of which date back to the 13th century,later enlarged (15th century) with the addition of Gothic elements that harmonise perfectly with the previous Romanesque structures. Inside can be found marvel-lous frescoes of the 1300s and 1400s, recently renovated. From its courtyard,a classic destination for young couples in the area,a splendid panorama of the city can be admired.The district is the location of the municipal camp site Umberto Cagni :Tel.0141/411242.The LA VALMANERESE Co-operative,founded in 1985 and which today has 64 members,is very active in commitments of a social nature.The Co-op runs the members club (339/1012361),a lively meeting place for the small community, the bowls court,as well as organising the numerous local festivities including the Patron Saint’s feast in the third week of July and the Autumn festival (in October).
Der Bezirk von Viatosto und Valmanera liegt im Nord-Westteil der Ungebung von Asti und hat ungefähr 7 kmq Umfassung.
In der Ortschaft vonValmanera liegt die alte “Certosa di Valmanera”, im VIII Jahrhundert gegründet und 1387 Sitz von den “Certosini”. Auch wenn sie fast ganz von Napoleon zerstört wurde, bleibt sie ein wichtiges Monument von der Ungebung von Asti.
Innerhalb finet man das Museum von “Arazzeria Scassa” und den Labor von Ugo Scassa (Tel. 0141/271164).
Am Anfang den Walden von Valmanera (die 2190 ha Umfassung haben), findet man Villa Paolina, die 8 ha Park hat und jetzt ist sie der naturalischen internatio-nalen Vereinigung WWF-Italien.
Wenn von Valmanera fährt man in Richtung Viatosto, findet man die mittelalterlische Maria Ausiliatrice Kirche, deren älteste Teilen von XIII Jahrhundert sind. Sie wurde im XV Jahrhundert mit gotischen Elementen vergrößert. Hinnerhalb kann man Fresken aus 1300 und 1400 sehen, die neu restauriert wurden.
Von dem Kirchplatz hat man einen schöne Blick der Stadt. In dem Bezirk liegt auch der Kamping Umberto Cagni : Tel.0141/411242 Der Genossenschaft LA VALMANERESE, 1985 gegrün-det und heute mit 64 Teilhabern, ist sehr aktiv in soziellen Veranstaltungen.
Der Genossenschaft verwaltet den Verein (339/1012361), Treffenpunkt mit Bocceplatz, und er organisiert viele lokale Feier, z.B. die Schutzpatronfeier (3. Woche Juli) und die Herbstfeier (im Oktober).
La circonscription de Viatosto/Valmanera s’étend sur 7 kilo-mètres carrés dans la zone nord-ouest du territoire fraction-nel d’Asti. La localité di Valmanera, zone résidentielle de la ville,est le siège de l’ancienne Chartreuse de Valmanera,fon-dée dans la première moitié du 8 siècle et devenu le siège des Chartreux en 1387 . En partie détruite par Napoléon, elle conserve encore une partie du quadrilatère d’origine,restant un important monument d’Asti.
A l’intérieur, elle abrite le Museo dell’Arazzeria Scassa (musée de la tapisserie) avec le laboratoire annexe d’Ugo Scassa, un des plus grands tapissiers modernes (tel.0141/271164).
A l’entrée des Bois de Valmanera ( Site d’interet communau-taire de 2190 hectares de superficie) se trouve la Villa Paolina, élégant édifice liberty immergé dans un parc de 8 hectares,siège d’un centre d’éducation environnementale à caractère national du WWF.
Depuis Valmanera on se dirige vers Viatosto pour rejoindre l’église de Maria Ausiliatrice, bijou médiéval dont la partie plus ancienne remonte au 13 siècle; par la suite elle fut agrandie (XV s.) en ajoutant des éléments gothiques parfai-tement en harmonie avec les précédentes structures roma-nes. A l’intérieur de précieuses fresques du 14 et15 siècles sont visibles,objet de récentes restaurations.
Depuis son parvis,un lieu classique des jeunes fiancés,il est possibles d’admirer la vue splendide sur la ville.
Dans la Circonscription se trouve le camping Umberto Cagni: Tel.0141/411242La Coopérative LA VALMANERESE est née en 1985 et compte aujourd’hui 64 associés.La Coopérative gère le siège du Cercle ( 339/1012361),un point de rencon-tre vivant d’une petite communauté, le terrain de boules et organise les nombreuses fêtes locales,dont la fête patronale de la 3 semaine de juillet et la fête gastronomique d’autom-ne (octobre).
