Variglie, meta ideale per passeggiate tra le colline è anche pascolo ideale per mandrie di bovini di pura razza piemontese allevate allo stato semibrado dalla famiglia Cantone,che di padre in figlio tra-manda l’azienda di famiglia.
La mandria dell’azienda Cantone costituita da vacche,vacche all’ingrasso e vitelli è costituita da circa 400 elementi.
La caratteristica dell’allevamento semibrado, effettuato solo su prati di proprietà della famiglia, è quella di permettere all’animale di effettuare una ginnastica funzionale,che si ripercuote positivamente sulla qualità della carne, di mantenere puliti i pascoli della vallata, di esporre le bestie alla luce naturale, favorendo lo sviluppo della vitamina E negli animali e quindi favo-rendo la fertilità della specie.
Inoltre in questo allevamento non viene utilizzata la fecondazione strumentale, ma le bestie sono esclusivamente fecondate dai tori della mandria.

Der Betrieb der Famiglie Cantone seit Generationen zuchtet fast ungezügelte reinrassige Rinder aus Piemonte und liegt in Nähe von Variglie.
Die Herde der Famiglie Cantone ist von Kuhen, Mastkuhen und Kalben (ungefähr 400 Stücke) gebildet.

Die Tieren können mit der fast ungezügelten Zucht prakti-sche Bewegung machen, die gut für das Fleisch ist, und an das naturelle Licht bleiben,das die Vitamine E in den Tieren gefördert; in der Betrieb wird die zweckdienliche Befruchtung nicht benutzt, sondern die Kuhe werden nur von den Stiern der Herde befuchtet.

La caractéristique de l’élevage demi-sauvage, ayant lieu seulement sur les prés de propriété familiale,permet à l’ani-mal d’effectuer une gymnastique efficace, qui se répercute positivement sur la qualité de la viande,de maintenir propre les pâturages de la vallée, d’exposer les bêtes à la lumière naturelle, en favorisant le développement de la vitamine E chez les animaux et donc en favorisant la fertilité de la race. Cependant la fécondation artificielle n’est pas utilisée dans cette élevage et les bêtes sont exclusivement fécondées par les taureaux du troupeau.
