La Circoscrizione di San Marzanotto si estende nella zona sud–est del territorio frazionale di Asti,per circa14 chilometi quadrati.
Questa zona, oggi ampiamente vitata, era alla fine dell’Era Terziaria, coperta dal mare,popolato da pesci,molluschi e balene.Non è raro tra-vare, anche solo passeggiando e scavando appena, resti di conchiglie fossili, ma il ritrovamento fatto nel 1993 in una vigna di Serra San Domenico è veramente eccezionale:la struttura ossea quasi completa di una balenottera, oggi conservata presso la scuola media Gatti (per visite rivolgersi presso l’Ente Parchi, tel.0141/592091). Alla balena è stato dato il nome di “Tersilla”in onore della proprietaria della vigna nella quale è stata rinvenuta.Questo piccolo borgo,disposto a balcone sulle colline circo-stanti, conserva la tipica struttura circolare medioevale. A pochi chilo-metri dalla città rappresenta un silenzioso luogo di campagna,ricco di viottoli e strade pano-ramiche.Il lato a picco sul fiume Tanaro presenta un paesaggio più ripido,mentre i crinali a sud,si diradano in valli ordinate e pulite caratterizzate da lunghi filari e cascine padronali.Una sorpresa di questo piccolo centro sono i murales che ornano molte facciate, realizzati da importanti artisti contemporanei, tra cui Andreasi, Billetto, Casorati,Fresu,Guglielminetti,Soffiantino,Treccani.A poca distanza,su un incantevole poggio,sorge il Castello di Belangero, risalente al secolo XI, circondato da un antico parco, da un cascinale agricolo e da una cappella. Purtroppo attualmente il castello non è visitabile ed è in attesa di restauro. L’incantevole posizione di San Marzanotto l’ha resa fin dal 1800, meta ideale per soggiorni rilassanti e per l’edificazione di ville.Tra queste si segnala Villa Badoglio,grande edificio a tre piani di “architettura fiorentina”.Fu regalata nel 1936 dalla Provincia di Asti all’allora Maresciallo d’Italia Piero Badoglio, per l’impresa d’Etiopia. La Villa è poi stata donata dagli eredi Badoglio alla Provincia di Asti per finalità sociali;recentemente restaurata è sede di rappresentanza e foresteria dell’Agenzia di Promozione Turistica della Provincia di Asti.Per non dimenticare le tradizioni locali ecco la pre-sentazione della pro-loco,nata nel 1974:il Gruppo amici di San Marzanotto ha sempre promosso molteplici atti-vità per far conoscere il proprio paese,le tradizioni locali e mantenere viva nei giovani la memoria del passato (tel.0141/595645).Partecipa ininterrottamente dalla prima edizione al Festival delle Sagre di Asti.
The district of San Marzanotto extends over the south-east part of the Asti territory,for roughly 14 square kilometres. This area, today full of grape vines, was covered with sea until the Tertiary era, populated with fish, molluscs and whales.It is not unusual to find,even just out walking or by shallow digging the remains of fossilised shells,but the find made in 1993 in a vineyard at Serra San Domenico is truly exceptional: the almost intact skeleton of a small whale, now preserved in the ‘Gatti’middle school ( for visits contact the Parks Agency, tel.0141/592091).This small village, set out like a balcony along the surrounding hills, keeps the typical medieval circular structure. At just a few kilometres from the city it is a silent country retreat, full of trails and panoramic roads. The side looking down upon the Tanaro river has a steeper landscape, while the ridges to the south stretch out in ordered and tidy valleys characterised by long rows of vines and old country houses.A surprising feature of this small village are the murals that adorn many walls, painted by various contemporary artists,including Andreasi, Billetto, Casorati, Fresu, Guglielminetti, Soffiantino and Treccani.A short distance away,perched on a captivating hil-lock,stands the ‘Castello di Belangero’,dating from the 11th century, surrounded by a park of secular trees, a country farmstead and a chapel. The delightful location of San Marzanotto has made it the ideal destination for relaxing vacations and villas to be built, from as far back as the 1800s.Among these one of note is Villa Badoglio,a large villa on three floors of “Florentine architecture”. In 1936 it was donated by the Province of Asti to the Marshal of Italy at that time,Piero Badoglio,for his Ethiopian campaign.It has recently been restored to act as a representative headquarters and guest rooms for the Province of Asti Tourist Board. Der Bezirk von San Marzanotto liegt im Sud-Ostteil der Ungebung von Asti und er hat ungefähr 14 km? Umfassen. Diese Zone war am Ende der tertiären Ära von Meer überge-flutet und hier lebten Fische, Mollusken und Wale. Und hier findet man leicht Fossilie; 1993 gab es eine wertvolle Auffindung in einer Weinberg in Serra San Domenico: eine fast vollständige Knochenstruktur einer Wal,die jetzt bei der Schule Gatti aufgebewahrt wird.(für Besuch rufen Sie an der “Ente Parchi“,tel.0141/592091).
Das Dorf liegt auf einem Hügel und hat noch eine typi-sche mittelalterliche runde Struktur. Es ist ein ruhiger Ort nicht weit von Asti, mit vielen kleinen Straßen und panoramischen Wegen.
Etwas besonders in diesem Dorf sind die Murales, die viele Wände verzieren und sie von zeitgenössischen Kunstlern gemacht wurden, z.B. Andreasi, Billetto,Casorati, Fresu, Guglielminetti,Soffiantino,Treccani.
Das Schloß von Belangero liegt nicht weit von dem Dorf und es wurde im XI Jahrhundert gebaut,es wird von einem hun-dertjährigen Park, einem Landweiler und einer Kapelle umgeben.Leider jetzt darf man nicht das Schloß besuchen, weil es noch restauriert werden muss.
Die schöne und ruhige Lage von San Marzanotto ist das ideale Ziel für entspannende Aufenthalt und so werden viele Ville seit 1800 gebaut.
Eine von diesen ist Villa Badoglio, die ist groß, mit drei Stock von “fiorentina Arkitektur“. Sie wurde 1936 von der Provinz von Asti an den Maresciallo d’Italia Piero Badoglio geschenkt, für die Tat in Etiopia. Die Erben des Maresciallo haben die Villa an die Provinz von Asti für sozialen Zweck gelassen.
Sie ist neu restauriert und jetzt ist Vertretung- und Ortsunansässige- Büro der Agentur für die touristische Promotion der Provinz von Asti.
Seit 1974 die Pro-loco des Dorfs organisiert viele Veranstaltungen,um den Ort und die lokale Traditionen zu fördern (Tel.0141/595645).
Sie nimmt seit der ersten Veranstaltung an den “Festival delle Sagre” teil.
La Circonscription de San Marzanotto s’étend sur 14 km car-rés dans la zone sud-est du territoire fractionnel d’Asti. Cette zone, aujourd’hui fortement viticole, était à la fin de l’ère tertiaire recouverte par la mer,peuplée de poissons,de mollusques et de baleines. Il n’est pas rare de trouver en se promenant ou en creusant légèrement des restes de coquil-les fossiles. Mais la découverte de 1993 dans une vigne de Serra San Domenico fut vraiment exceptionnelle:la structure osseuse d’un baleineau pratiquement complète,aujourd’-hui conservée à l’école primaire Gatti (pour les visites, s’a-dresser auprès de l’Ente Parchi, tel.0141/592091).Ce petit bourg,placé sur les collines environnantes,conserve la structure typiquement circulaire du Moyen-Age.A peu de kilomè-tres de la ville, il représente un havre de paix, riche de sen-tiers et de routes panoramiques.Son flanc gauche tombant à pic sur la rivière Tanaro présente un versant plus raide tan-dis qu’au sud les crêtes se dissipent dans les vallées ordon-nées et propres caractérisées par de longues rangées de mai-sons de maitre. Surprenants sont les décors muraux de ce petit centre, qui décorent de nombreuses façades, réalisés par d’illustres artistes contemporains dont Andreasi,Billetto, Casorati,Fresu,Guglielminetti,Soffiantino,Treccani.A peu de distance, sur un charmant coteau, se dresse le château de Belangero, datant du 11 siècle, entouré d’un parc séculaire, d’une ferme agricole et d’une chapelle. Grâce à la position charmante de San Marzanotto, le bourg est devenu une destination idéale pour les séjours relaxants et pour la construction de villa de la fin du 19 siècle.
Parmi ces villas,la Villa Badoglio à 3 étages et d’architecture “florentine”est signalée. Elle a été récemment restaurée et est le siège de l’agence de promotion touristique de la Province d’Asti.Pour ne pas oublier les traditions locales, voici la présentation du syndicat local, né en 1974: le “Gruppo amici” de San Marzanotto a toujours promu de multiples activités pour faire connaitre son propre village,les traditions locales et maintenir en vie chez les jeunes la mémoire du passé(tel.0141/595645).
